The special turf design on the roof can be used to reclaim rain and reuse it for watering plants and flushing toilets, not only making the entire building green, but also serving to reduce water waste.

Beitou Plum Garden (Meiting)

Built in the 1930s, the late Beitou Plum Garden (Meiting) was once a famous calligrapher, Mr. Yu Youren‘s summer shelter. It is located in Beitou Park, next to the 100-year-old Beitou Hot Springs Museum.
The combination of Japanese and Western styles buildings is divided into two upper and lower floors. The upper floor is a Japanese-style building made of traditional wood. The lower floor is an air defense shelter that should be seen for the needs of the generation. The 梅庭 (Mei Ting) word at the entrance is striking. In addition to admiring the beauty of Japanese architecture, you can learn deeply about Youren Yu’s life story and works.
